Brokerage Terms and Conditions
Law Compliance and Client Responsibility
All clients are required to provide updated and accurate descriptions of their cargo and must, at all times, be compliant with state and national laws. In the case of hazardous or regulated materials being transported, it is the client’s responsibility to inform us and take the necessary measures to maintain compliance. As the freight broker, our responsibility is limited to connecting shippers and carriers.
Service Fee and Payment Processing
Clients are required to make a complete payment to the freight brokerage, Aah Transport Services, within a span of ___ days. Failure to pay on time might result in an increased penalty fee. This also applies to any add-ons attached to base service charges. Aah Transport Services rightfully and legally has access to a general lien applicable to amounts due on cargo, as well as a possessory lien on cargo amounts/charges deemed unpaid.
Indemnification
As freight brokers, our total liability is limited to the charges for our services. In the case the client breaches an agreement or contract, they will be liable to indemnify us (the broker) for outstanding claims.
Carriers, Delivery Times, and Availability
While we strive to select the best-suited carrier for our clients, as freight brokers, we cannot provide guarantees related to the time of delivery or carrier availability. In case of any accidents or delays, we will notify the client of the situation.
Insurance
Aah Transport Services abides by all insurance and bonding laws active within the state of Virginia.
Cargo Loss or Damage
Aah Transport Services does not assume any responsibility for damage to or loss of cargo. Please note that many carriers are also protected by limited liability for any issues arising during cargo transportation. It is the client’s responsibility to insure their goods and apply for claims within the required period. As your freight broker, our liability is limited to the charges for the logistics service provided.
